Las Vegas City Council Recognizes Ward 5 Street Safety Video Contest Winners
In a recent City Council meeting, Las Vegas celebrated the creativity and dedication of its youth in promoting street safety. The Ward 5 Street Safety Video Contest, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about traffic safety near schools, showcased the talents of students from various educational levels.
The contest invited each school in the Ward 5 zone to create a 30-second video focusing on different aspects of road safety. Elementary school students emphasized crosswalk safety, middle schoolers highlighted bike and scooter awareness, and high school students addressed the importance of safe driving and sharing the road with two-wheeled vehicles.
Four exceptional videos were selected as winners: one from the elementary level, one from the middle school level, and a tie between two high school entries.
